We are now shooting Garden Portraits!  Till everything is greened up we will only shoot in certain areas of the gardens.  The absolute best day for shooting outside is when there is an overcast sky. We can work with bright sunny skys also by using shaders and reflectors.Our Gardens here at the Family Album are more in the style of Victorian Cottage gardens. We have a wonderful cottage style summer garden, a daisy/lilly garden, our wooded area, a white wood porch swing, a simple tree swing styled after the swing from the movie "Secret Garden" and of coarse the incredibly beautiful koy pond with waterfalls.We have a barn set and a split rail fence.  We have a brick walkway and this year we hope to add back the old lemonade stand for those "Little Rascal" type portraits. There are many different venues to shoot with; from the very casual to high elegant.  Let us create for you some beautiful heirloom garden portraits. We are only limited by our creativity! We are constantly recreating our gardens; so if you come in one week and see one kind of flower blooming, the next week something else may be there.  We are also constantly adding to our gardens.  We hope to add a four tiered water fountain with court yard to our east lawn.  We have large plans for the back formal yard to include a large one-of-a-kind victorian styled gazebo and beautiful balister lined steps leading down into the formal yard.    We strongly suggest light flowing dresses for girls in some of our outdoor garden sets and casual, such as jeans for others.  Guys should stay casual unless they have a light linen suit or for boys size 4  they may use our brown victorian suit.  We suggest to stay with solid fabrics instead of patterns.  Usually we begin shooting outside with our Easter shoot.  It all depends on how early it warms up.  In 14 years we have only shot outside once in the month of March.  Normally it is somewhere around the end of April.  Once we begin to shoot outside our appointments get taken quick so hurry to make your appointment so you can get the time and date needed.
